1. Stretch
Stretching is literally a way to destress your body, which goes as far as to destress your mind as well. To start off your day stress free, stretch in the morning. To end your day stress free, stretch before you go to bed. It’s simple but effective.
2. Declutter
Decluttering allows space for us to grow and let go of things that are emotionally holding us back. Declutter your closet, your phone, your car, your pantry. Let me just say a space that motivates you is not aligned with stress.
3. Journal
5 minutes is all you need for journaling. Just 5 minutes out of the 1,440 minutes in your day. You don’t even need a journal. Use your notes app on your phone, a random piece of paper, a dry erase board if that’s what you like. Express yourself with your words.
4. Make Your Own Coffee/Tea
If coffee or tea is your thing, you have the perfect way to de-stress.
You don’t have to stress about spending money on an overpriced coffee or stress about your order being wrong.
Making it yourself is the perfect moment to have a quiet, stress free moment.
5. Color
Go get your color books from when you were little, because coloring is all for de-stressing. Use crayons, color pencils, markers, what ever satisfies you. Coloring is such a simple activity yet so effective to relax the mind.
6. Social Media detox
Social media is stressful. A lot of our feed on social media can lead to overstimulation and, you guessed it, stress. Cutting all social media is not the way to go, instead detox your feed. Curate your feed to help motivate you instead of leaving you stressed out.
7. Go Outside
So simple yet so effective. Take a stroll, walk your dog, open your window, literally just step outside. It will instantly change your mood in the best way possible. We all need some fresh air to clear our minds.

The best part about mediating is that it can be tailored to everyone. It can be tailored to your lifestyle, personality, and even your job. All it takes is being mindful, taking in the moment, and however amount of time you want to dedicate to it.
